Block One Complete.

EVENING.

I have some very exciting news to share with y'all, I have finished my block one final piece for the multiples brief. Here is photo of the work (INDIVIDUALLY STUCK ON) below.

I am over the moon that I have finished this piece of work ahead of schedule which has lifted a great weight from my shoulders. I am also over the moon with how the final piece of work actually looks as it is better than I expected! I am happy with the quality of the images and I measured to the best of my ability to give it a professional finish on the wall.

This project has been a challenge both physically and mentally, I know this is hard to believe as many of those who are not creative or artistic refuse to believe that 'art' is anything but an easy pisstake subject.

How wrong are they - I have compiled lots of research and carried out many site visits and this costs time and money which I am satisfied to have had to have done as the outcome was worth it. I wont even get started on the process on how to come up with a relevant and unique idea, as that was pain staking. But what I will say is that this final piece took me almost a week to prepare, a day to organise and then another day to mount on the wall.

I have learned a lot throughout this process such as my lack of time keeping (except when it came to my final piece - completed two days early) and also my extreme lack of confidence. I feel that I would have been less stressed had I found confidence in my idea and the work I had done for it earlier on in the process but I can proudly say that I am happy with what I have finished with and I cannot believe I had ever doubted myself.

I hope that my next project is as fun as this one was as I really did love taking the photos and then seeing the outcome and I will genuinely miss my weekly trips through to take about 200 photos at a time then come home and hate them all. Honestly I have so many photos left over I could make another collage, which I may as my work has generated some interest and a few people have even asked for prints. This is something I didn't even think would happen when I'd graduated never-mind after completing the first half of second year and I feel truly blessed.

I am looking forward to a week to chill - 'reading week' - and then a busy, productive and exciting term ahead.

Over and out xo

New Year. New Adventures.

Hello 2015!

This year began with some of my most treasured friends and family! I am paying for the insane amount of fairy juice I consumed but I managed to start the year off by completing my project for college (it just needs hung on the wall).

Here are some images of what it should look like when finished on the wall!

I'm not usually one for doing this at the end of a project but I genuinely wouldn't have completed this without my amazing boyfriends encouragement who gave me the kick up the arse I needed to finish what I started even when I lost all hope and faith in my idea.

Let's hope the rest of the year is as successful as 2014 x
